Sevaro Health Awarded Telehealth Accreditation from Joint Commission
October 23, 2026
Sevaro Health has earned Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Telehealth Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.
Sevaro, a physician-led virtual neurology company providing telestroke, neurohospitalist rounding, remote EEG reading, and multi-specialty virtual care supported by its Synapse AI platform, has earned Telehealth Accreditation from Joint Commission, an independent, evidence-based standards setting organization that sets the benchmark for safe, high-quality patient care through healthcare accreditation. This accomplishment formally recognizes Sevaro’s ongoing commitment to meeting performance standards and delivering safe, high-quality virtual care to the hospitals and patients it serves. In 2024, Sevaro received Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation. This Telehealth Accreditation builds on that record of meeting national standards for safe, high-quality care.
Sevaro underwent a rigorous survey on October 5, 2026. During the visit, a Joint Commission surveyor assessed compliance across key areas such as clinician competency, information management and data integrity, emergency management, patient safety/event reporting and performance improvement.
The surveyor conducted observations and interviews as part of the survey. At the close of the visit, the surveyor shared:
“There are no findings. There was nothing I saw looking at what was presented today and what I spent time over the last week or so looking at your documents that I saw there was any recommendation to improve standards of compliance.”
“Joint Commission congratulates Sevaro for achieving accreditation by demonstrating its focus on delivering safe and effective care of the highest quality and value,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, Joint Commission. “Through the accreditation process, we worked closely with Sevaro to enable and affirm the highest standards of healthcare quality and patient safety. Together, we are elevating care for all patients, and we appreciate Sevaro’s collaboration throughout this process.”
Annie Letkiewicz, MSN, RN, CPAHA, Manager of Clinical Operations and Quality, led Sevaro’s preparation for the survey, bringing together teams from operations, IT, credentialing, onboarding, quality, and the business office. Preparing for the survey required significant collaboration, attention to detail, and dedication across the team to ensure Sevaro’s workflows, policies, and documentation aligned with accreditation standards.
This accreditation recognizes Sevaro’s clinicians, whose daily work with hospital partners and patients delivers safe, high-quality virtual care. It also supports Sevaro’s work with hospitals and the communities they serve. For rural hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals, a virtual neurology partner held to national standards helps more patients receive specialty care close to home, without the challenges of recruiting full-time neurologists. Thank you to our clinicians for the expertise and dedication they bring to every consult.
